Privacy Notice
Applies to the iOS application Stay Near – Location Sharing.
1 Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how UBO OF MAGIT LLC DOO (hereinafter “the Company”) treats personal data in the iOS application Stay Near – Location Sharing (“the App”).
The App is a location-sharing service. It shows the position of the user to people the user has approved, keeps a history of locations and notifies about arrivals at and departures from saved places.
The general Privacy Notice of the Company governs matters that this Notice does not address, in particular the rights of the user and the supervisory authority. Where the two differ, this Notice prevails.
2 Account
The App creates an account by itself at the first launch and ties it to the device of the user.
The account may hold:
- the name of the user;
- a telephone number, if the user enters one;
- a profile picture, if the user adds one.
3 Location
Sharing a position is the main function of the App, which therefore processes:
- the exact location of the device;
- location determined while the App works in the background;
- the history of the locations of the user.
The location history is kept for 40 days at most.
In the background, location is used to keep the position seen by approved friends current, to add points to the history and to send notices when the user arrives at or leaves a saved place.
The App reads the location only after the user has allowed it in iOS. That permission can be changed or withdrawn at any time in the iPhone settings.
4 Saved places and connections
For each place the user saves — home, work or any other — the App stores its name, its coordinates and the settings of the notices about arrival and departure.
Users connect to each other with invitation codes. The App stores the friend and connection list of the user, sent and accepted friend requests and the sharing permissions agreed between users.
5 Usage and purchase data
The App also collects information about the device, about how the user interacts with the App, diagnostic information and information about subscriptions and purchases.
6 Purposes
The data described in Article 2 to Article 5 is used to:
- share positions between connected users and show them on the map in real time;
- build and display the location history;
- notify about arrivals and departures;
- manage saved places and connections between users;
- answer support requests;
- examine how the App performs and make its functions better;
- handle subscriptions and give access to paid functions.
7 Who sees the location
The location of the user is visible only to users whom the user has approved and added as friends.
The user alone decides who appears on the friend list and which permissions apply, and may change both whenever the user wishes.
8 Third-party services
The App works with the following services of third parties: Firebase, AppsFlyer, Adapty and Apple Maps.
Each of them may collect information under its own privacy rules.
9 Retention
Data is kept only while the services of the App need it.
The location history is kept for up to 40 days.
10 Deleting the account
The user may delete the account in the App at any time.
Deletion removes from the servers of the Company the account details, the location history, the saved places, the friend connections and the other data belonging to the user.
Should the user open the App again after deletion, a new account may be created automatically.
11 Children
The App is not designed specifically for children. A parent or anyone else with reason to think that a child has submitted personal data via the App should write to apps@magit.info; the Company will then take suitable measures.
12 Security
The Company protects user data with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Still, no electronic transfer or storage of data is entirely free of risk.
13 Amendments
The Company may revise this Notice. A revised version takes effect when it is published.
