BibleRay: AI Bible Chat
Privacy Notice
Applies to the iOS application BibleRay: AI Bible Chat.
1 Scope
This Privacy Notice describes how UBO OF MAGIT LLC DOO (hereinafter “the Company”) collects, uses and protects personal data in connection with the iOS application BibleRay: AI Bible Chat (“the App”) and the services linked to it.
The Notice also sets out the choices open to the user and the ways to see, correct or delete data.
The App is aimed mainly at people living in the United States and in Latin America.
Using the App confirms that the user has read this Notice and agrees with it. A person who does not agree is not permitted to use the App.
Questions not settled here are governed by the general Privacy Notice of the Company. Where the two differ, this Notice prevails.
2 Use without an account
The App works without an account. Reading the Bible, using the widgets and talking to the AI Bible Chat need no registration, no email address and no password.
3 Data the App handles
During use, the App may collect or create:
- questions put to the AI Bible Chat and whole conversations with it;
- prayer requests and details entered for personalised prayers;
- reflection notes and other entries made in devotional features;
- prayers the user keeps;
- bookmarks, highlighted verses and the point reached in reading;
- the settings chosen in the App, notification settings included;
- whether a subscription is active, and data on purchases;
- identifiers of the device, which serve analytics, attribution, operation of the App, fraud prevention and subscription management;
- technical and diagnostic information.
Part of this information is typed in by the user. The remainder is gathered automatically or supplied by the providers the Company relies on to run, analyse, improve and secure the App.
The user may decline to give some information; certain functions may then be unavailable or work incorrectly.
4 Automatically recorded data
When the App is used, the servers of the Company and its service providers may record data sent by the device without any action of the user, such as:
- the IP address;
- an approximate location at the level of a country or region;
- the name and version of the device;
- the type and version of the operating system;
- the language set on the device;
- dates and times of access;
- activity in the App and interaction with its features;
- crash reports and diagnostic statistics.
Server logs. The backend of the App keeps the technical logs needed to run, watch and protect it. A log entry may contain the time of a request, the endpoint called, the response code and response time, the stack trace of an error, an anonymised or hashed identifier of the user or device and similar diagnostic details. No payment card details or passwords are written to these logs. Logs are kept for a limited period for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, security reviews and regulatory compliance; after that period they are erased or made more anonymous.
Automatically recorded data is used to operate the App, to spot possible abuse, to improve its speed and stability, to correct errors, to study how it is used, to keep it secure and to make it more convenient.
5 AI features
The App offers features driven by artificial intelligence: the AI Bible Chat, personalised prayers, reflections, explanations of Scripture and similar interactive tools.
Whatever the user types into these features — questions, prompts and the full exchange of a chat — goes to the backend of the Company and to AI providers outside the Company, which generate the reply. Such text may concern Scripture, contain prayer requests or reflection notes, or hold anything else the user decides to write.
Chat history is stored on the servers of the Company, so that the user can return to earlier conversations and so that the quality of the service can grow. A conversation is tied to an anonymised identifier of the device or user, not to the real name of the user, an email address or other directly identifying details.
The Company may use chat data in aggregated, de-identified form to check quality, to detect abuse and to refine its AI models and prompts.
Nothing should be entered into the AI features that the user does not want processed or stored. Sensitive information — health information, financial details, identity document numbers, an exact location or the full name of the user — is best left out of the chat.
AI replies are meant for information, learning and personal reflection. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to the situation of the user. The App does not give medical, legal, financial, psychological, spiritual, pastoral or any other professional advice.
6 Bible text and widgets
Besides the chat, the App contains the Bible text, plans for reading, devotionals, prayers and reflections, reminders and Home Screen widgets.
The Bible text and its translations come from API.Bible (American Bible Society and partner publishers). Verses for the reader and the widgets are requested from the backend of the Company, which relays the content of API.Bible. Every user receives the same content; it is not adjusted on the basis of personal data. The rights and licences of the publishers apply to the Bible text.
The widgets that show verses on the device are free, require no account or login and use no personal data. Their content is requested anonymously.
7 Purposes
The Company uses the data for the following purposes:
- operation — making the App and its features work, including the AI Bible Chat and the delivery of Bible content and widgets from the backend;
- development — studying how the App is used, personalising it and refining the AI features;
- purchases — handling subscriptions bought through the App Store;
- reliability — finding and correcting technical faults;
- support — answering questions and support requests;
- protection — preventing abuse, fraud and malicious activity and enforcing the terms of the App;
- law — meeting legal obligations, answering lawful requests of authorities and preventing harm.
8 Service providers
Depending on the function concerned, the Company relies on outside providers to run, analyse, improve and secure the App. Their services include:
- processing by artificial intelligence models for the chat and related features;
- delivery of Bible content — API.Bible;
- usage analytics;
- crash and error reports;
- performance monitoring;
- servers, logs and cloud infrastructure;
- push notifications;
- management of subscriptions;
- attribution and measurement of marketing;
- validation of App Store purchases.
Providers process information solely for the services they render to the Company or where the law requires it.
Providers are not permitted to exploit personal data for marketing of their own, except where the user has been informed separately and the applicable law allows it.
9 Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions and premium features are bought through the App Store. The Company neither receives nor stores full payment card details.
Billing, management, cancellation and refunds of subscriptions are handled through the App Store account of the user, on the iPhone under Settings / Apple ID / Subscriptions.
10 Managing data
Some information can be deleted in the App itself where the function exists — for example chat history, bookmarks and highlighted verses, reading progress or prayers the user has saved.
To obtain a copy of personal data, to correct it or to have it deleted, including the AI chat history held on the servers of the Company, the user writes to apps@magit.info.
Before acting on certain requests, the Company may first confirm the identity of the requester. Information may nonetheless be retained where the law obliges the Company to keep it, or where keeping it serves to settle a dispute, to enforce an agreement or to protect the App.
11 Disclosure
Where this is needed to provide the App, information may be shared with partners, contractors, affiliates and trusted service providers that help the Company run it. They may use or disclose it only to perform work for the Company or to meet legal requirements.
The Company may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it — for example under a court order, a subpoena, a request of a public authority or other legal process — or where, acting in good faith, the Company considers disclosure necessary to defend its rights, to protect the safety of the user or of other people, to investigate fraud, to enforce its policies or to answer a legal request.
12 Retention
Information is retained while it is needed to provide the App, to meet legal obligations, to settle disputes, to enforce agreements, to keep the App secure and to improve it.
AI chat data and server logs are kept only while the purposes described in this Notice require them; afterwards they are deleted, anonymised or aggregated.
Aggregated or anonymised data derived from information of the user may still be used after the original has been erased or stripped of identifiers, as long as it does not identify the user.
13 International transfers
Depending on where the user lives, information may be transferred to and stored in a country other than that of the user, for example in the United States or other states where providers of the Company are located.
Data protection rules there may differ from those of the country of the user. The Company takes reasonable measures to protect information transferred or processed abroad.
14 Rights of users
Depending on the place of residence and the applicable law, the user may be entitled to:
- see the personal data the Company holds;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- have personal data deleted;
- object to particular processing or have it limited;
- withdraw a consent previously given, where the processing relies on it;
- obtain the data in a machine-readable, structured and widely used format, where portability applies.
Requests are sent to apps@magit.info. The general Privacy Notice describes how requests are handled and the right to complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (Republic of Serbia).
15 United States
State privacy laws in the United States — for example in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia — may give residents further rights: to see, correct or delete certain information and to refuse certain processing.
Personal information is not sold and is not used for cross-context behavioural advertising, as U.S. state laws define these terms.
Requests under these laws are sent to apps@magit.info.
16 Latin America
Users living in Latin America — for example in Brazil under the LGPD, in Mexico under the LFPDPPP, or in Argentina, Chile or Colombia — may be entitled to access their personal information, to its rectification and cancellation and to oppose its processing, and to portability where it applies. Requests are sent to apps@magit.info.
17 External resources
Links in the App may lead to resources that the Company neither owns nor controls. Their handling of personal data is governed by their own policies, which the user should consult; the Company bears no responsibility for it.
18 Security
Administrative, technical and organisational safeguards are applied to protect information from unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure.
Since neither internet transmission nor electronic storage is entirely safe, the Company cannot promise absolute security.
19 Security incidents
Should the Company discover a breach of the security of the App, or find that personal information has reached unrelated third parties because of an attack, fraud or other external activity, it may respond with reasonable steps. These may include an investigation, corrective action, informing affected users where the law so requires, and working with law enforcement authorities.
20 Children
The App is not addressed to anyone under 13, nor to anyone below the minimum age that the law of the country of the user sets. Personal information of children is not collected knowingly. A parent or guardian who has reason to think that a child has submitted such information should write to apps@magit.info; the Company will then take suitable measures.
21 Amendments
The Company may revise this Notice when needed. Significant changes may be announced in the App, and the version date shown above is updated.
Use of the App after a revision enters into force signifies agreement with it.
